Britain’s famous wartime Prime minister Winston Churchill said this,

“The nation will find it very hard to look up to the leaders who are keeping their ears to the ground.”  

Trust Winston to tell it like it is. Leadership is not a popularity contest. It comes with a mandate to make tough calls, unpopular stands, and a duty to stand up for what is right. In an increasingly grey world, where right and wrong are no longer absolute and truth relative, it takes courage to stand as a leader and be decisive when you need to.

Take courage today, the popular thing is rarely the right thing and if you try to please all the people all the time you will fail.
