Patton was a bit on the crazy side! Arguably certifiable yet brilliant in his own way. He had a clarity of vision and an ability to see through complexity to simple solutions.

With some historic poignancy after his forces help liberate Berlin, Patton wanted Eisenhower to let him keep going to Moscow. He had foresight and courage; that’s for sure. Despite the wildness of Patton I think there’s a lesson here. A single minded, no nonsense approach to action oriented leadership can get us a long way.
