Austrian American management consultant, Peter Drucker said,

“Leadership is defined by results not attributes.”  

Ultimately our leadership is about achieving outcomes and should be measured as such. Often in leadership development and training circles you get the sense that sitting around holding hands and singing “kum-ba-yah” is progressive leadership. It couldn’t be further from the truth. Empowering, authentic, transparent leadership can create exceptional results with clear accountability, and responsibility.

Don’t mistake trust and openness for not being a high-performance environment. We lead for a reason and should be held accountable for outcomes.
